Job Description
We are looking for a Inventory Accounting Manager to drive the Inventory Accounting function for RH, with responsibility over SOX control design and documentation and inventory accounting, control, and analysis. We are looking for fresh ideas in the leadership of new processes. The ideal candidate will be a leader in identifying and recommending policy and procedural changes with a global view of the organization as a whole.

Participate in monthly analysis of inventory reserves and determination of revenue recognition timing
Process Inventory month-end journal reconciliations, review and report results
Analyze month-end reports for variances to forecast/budget, researching large discrepancies to proactively address revision of overall plan if needed
Become trusted partner to leadership in Supply Chain, Outlet, Retail and Merchant divisions, representing their business processes in Financial planning
Analyze Inventory reserves and Inventory shrink entries to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices
Provide Finance leadership for cycle count and physical inventories of RH Retail, Home Delivery and Distribution Centers
Recognize financial accounting risks, and recommend controls to mitigate risks
Collaborate with outside auditors during quarterly reviews and annual SOX audits
Special projects as needed, including providing guidance to executive leadership on process and policy
5-15% domestic travel to RH facilities


Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting
CPA preferred but not required
Retail inventory accounting experience preferred
Experience using Excel for large-scale data analysis, with data drawn from internal sources, to include: Hyperion, stock ledgers and Oracle EBS
Proven experience collaborating with broad divisional leadership across areas outside of Finance
Excellent accounting control and analysis skills
History of forming partnerships with and making concise presentations to company executives
Experience establishing and implementing change to written procedures to articulate business processes and their effect on financial planning
Proven experience in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
